The Battle Cry

MILITIA EST VITA CATTOLICUM – THE LIFE OF A CATHOLIC IS A BATTLE

Chaminade was right when he said: “All the ages of the Church are marked by the struggles and triumphs of the Augusta Maria. All heresies, says the Church, have bowed down before the holiest Virgin, who little by little made them enter the silence of nothingness”[1].

Now if in every war, something must be kept hidden from the adversaries, it would certainly be the strategy of one’s own art of warfare. Indeed, an army is weakened (if not defeated) when its secret stratagems of war are revealed to its adversaries.

Therefore, I know that hell will come down upon me for writing these things, that is, for exposing what are the fear of demons and demons’ allies in our day – namely the infinite value of the Most Holy Eucharist and the perennial value of the indispensable role of Mary the Co-redemptrix in the economy of salvation – and in so doing for exposing what is the war stratagem of the infernal militia against the Catholic Church, against the salvation and sanctification of souls in our day, against their main enemy – Mary Coredemptrix.

Let us beware! It is no coincidence that St. John Bosco in a famous dream saw that only two means remain to save the Church amidst such turmoil: devotion to Mary Most Holy and to the Blessed Sacrament; that is, the dignified celebration of the Eucharist that allows frequent Communion in a more worthy and respectful manner.

The renowned exponents of hatred against the Catholic Church have expressed their immortal hatred against Mary Co-redemptrix and against the Catholic Church. First the leader of the infernal army, Satan, “raged against the woman (the Coredemptrix) and went off to make war against the rest of her descendants, against those who keep God’s commandments and hold the testimony of Jesus”.

In the wake of their master and father, Satan’s allies also expressed their immortal hatred and willingness to fight alongside the dragon against Mary the Co-redemptrix and the Catholic Church. Among them is Martin Luther, patriarch of the heretics, who in a famous pamphlet “Contra Henricum regem Anglikae”, wrote these lugubrious words: “When the Mass is disrupted, I think we will have overthrown the true Pope. For it is in the Mass, as on a rock, that the whole and true Papacy rests’.

Another adversary of the Church, Voltaire (François Marie Arouet [1694-1778]), a renowned champion of Masonic ideals, declared that the best way to fight the Catholic Church is through the corruption of the morals of its members.

They have said a lot, and they have written a lot, but we know that they will not succeed in defeating both the Corredentrice and the Church. I say this without triumphalism because I know that it is God who does everything through the intercession of Mary. Now, Militia est vita cattolicum.

So even if the soldier were to renounce combat, this would not save him from the deadly blows of his adversaries, as long as he is still on the battlefield.

But what soldier would remain on the battlefield, perhaps with his arms crossed and smoking, who knows, a pipe, while the fighting rages on?

He would become the protagonist of a tired joke. If he does not suffer worse, such a soldier would deserve to be imprisoned and see the sun behind bars until he has paid back everything he owed (Mt 18:34).

It would be even more shameful if such a soldier were a general! The good thing is that this is happening today. And if we are to exonerate such a deserter with the mildest excuse, then we would say that he is just a psychopath worthy more of pity than of the whip. I say it again ‘all this is happening today’. Who can understand, understand! (…)

The good Lord is preparing a renewed springtime for his Church, an explosion of holiness; indeed, we are convinced that many Saints are already among us, working in silence. These are the mysterious forces, the living forces of the Church and of society itself. It is these forces that prevent man from bending down on all fours!

We conclude this call to wakeful service with the words of the psalmist: “Blessed is the Lord, my rock, who trains my hands for war, my fingers for battle (Ps 143:1)”. Therefore, we cannot limit ourselves only to defense, we are also and above all for attack.

Therefore, let us go on the assault and clear the decks to go to war, for our help is in the name of the Lord – who has delivered victory to our Twelve-Star General, Mary the Co-Redemptrix! “He that hath an ear, let him hear: He that shall go into captivity shall go into captivity; he that shall be slain by the sword shall be slain. In this lies the constancy and faith of the saints (Rev 13:9-10)”.

Let the assault begin! Victory is certain!
