Someone once asked me.

Father, in these days of confusion within the Church, how do we avoid being deceived given that it would not be an easy feat to intellectually contend with some of these “Big Brains” who intend to lure us into deception.

The Test of Trustworthiness

Now, three are the requirements of the test of trustworthiness to know who still stands with two feet in the same boat as St. Peter the Apostle, and they are summed up in these words: practising JUSTICE and MERCY in the spirit of FAITHFULNESS to the Church of Everlasting Truths.

For to those who were found wanting in these things, the Lord said: “Woe to you, scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites, who pay the tithe of mint, of a pitchfork, and of cummin, and transgress the weightier prescriptions of the law: justice, mercy, and faithfulness. These things were to be practiced, not to be omitted” (Mt 23:23).

With “justice” one renders what is due to Christ, to His Universal Vicar (Peter of Ever), and to His Church; with mercy, one sacrifices oneself to support the True Church of Christ and promote the good of the whole Church; with fidelity, a true child of the Church lives a life of obedience to the Pope of Always and the Church of Always, remembering that “He who lives united to the Pope, lives the life of the Lord Jesus. Whoever is not united to the true Bishop [of Rome] is already dead’ (Ignatius Martyr).

If even one of these three elements is missing, we would have what can be called a devilish bouquet of flowers – it would certainly have its suave fragrance, but in the end it would just be the devil’s recipe. Yes, the devil is also a good florist, but he always misses one essential thing in composing the bouquet and in order not to point out the lack; he tends to exaggerate a single aspect of the bouquet.

It should be said at this point that attached to these three requirements is the segnum catholicum, that is, being rooted in the spirituality and knowledge of the mystery of Mary Coredemptrix. It is a practical knowledge that leads to a deepening of the Opus Dei and total consecration to Her. It is the indicative and proving sign par excellence when combined with the three requirements already listed.

Indeed, those who already recognize Mary’s unique role in the salvation of humanity (as Co-redemptrix), should have previously recognized, as a logical premise, that Christ came in the flesh (2 Jn 7); and to recognize that Christ came in the flesh is to recognize Him who is His true Universal Vicar in the flesh; that is, the teachings of the Popes of Always. Ah, how timely is this test in discerning the spirit of the “seducer and the antichrist” (cf. ibid).

This is why the Apostle tells us: “By this, you can recognize the spirit of God: every spirit that recognizes that Jesus Christ has come in the flesh is from God; 1Jn 4:2” i.e., every spirit recognizes that Jesus continues to teach us in His true Vicars in union and conformity with the entire Traditional Church. “Si quis habet aures audiendi audiat!” – Mk 4:23 – i.e., “If anyone has ears to hear, let him hear!”

In history, there have always been fierce enemies and adversaries against the Church, whereas it hates no one. Instead, it hates and fights error with truth and loves the errant.

Therefore, the primacy of the true Pope, besides being a primacy of jurisdiction, should also be a primacy of love. Thus we understand that “more” in Jesus’ question to Peter: “Peter, do you love me MORE than these?” (Jn 21:15). To the true Peter of Always belongs the chair of the “charism of precision” of the truth and the lovers of this truth receive it with metaphysical instruments.
